For women who have spent every morning for most of their lives applying make-up carefully, permanent make-up can sound like a dream come true. To enhance features and save time, a growing number of women are in fact opting to undergo the tattooing process. Not only can this be a time saver, but for someone suffering from arthritis, stroke tremors or Parkinsons disease, permanent make-up can provide aesthetic results for those who cannot physically apply make-up alone. Tattooing can also help to deliver shading and proper color to discolored skin from burns, scars and injuries. Also known as cosmetic tattooing or micro pigment implantation, permanent make-up can be used to fill in or darken light or sparse eyebrows, line both upper and lower eyelids, as well as both line and fill in the lips. Whichever look you want, good permanent make-up can help you look your best no matter what you’re up to, morning, noon and night. Permanent make-up procedures
Each procedure can take from 1.5 to 3 hours. Normally the final result is achieved after a second treatment. All types of permanent make-up are applied under local anesthetic.
In most cases there is only slight to moderate discomfort.
Your scheduled time consist of the signing of consent forms, the taking of photographs, discussion of desired procedure and your colors, time to relax while the anesthesia penetrates, the process of the tattoo itself (relatively a short amount of the time) and the aftercare instructions.
Recovery
After a permanent make-up procedure you will be sore and swollen for two to five days. Tattoos may initially seem too bright or dark at first; however, these colors should fade over several days to reveal your chosen color. Be sure when choosing the colors you want that you are certain these are the shades that will work best for you over time. |
